Rakkh Resort is built on the slopes of verdant Kangri hills with least impact to the hillside and thus scattered across the property as the topology allows creating a sense of exclusivity and privacy.
This has translated into some steep climbs albeit on all-weather ramps rendering it slightly challenging to access for older and differently-abled guests. Yet we go beyond to accommodate everyone.
Life in the hills is difficult and the greatest arsenal for coping in this difficult terrain is an active social life and community engagement.
We promote this ethos amongst our guests. Hence we do not offer in-room dining, as breaking bread together is a great bonding experience.
Being in the lap of nature affords our guests the perfect opportunity for deep communion with oneself and nature.
To enable this we have consciously made some choices, including the absence of
in-room entertainment such as TV and internet. Although WiFi will be available in common areas for pressing work if any.
The birds have vanished down the sky.
Now the last cloud drains away.
We sit together, the mountain and me,
until only the mountain remains.
