Triund Hill

This scenic hilltop is just a few kilometers away from our resort in Dharamshala and is one of the best places to visit near Dharamshala. With an altitude of close to 2,900 km above sea level, Triund Hill is a stunning picnic spot with a breathtaking view of the snow-capped mountains of the Dhauladhar range on one side and the lush green Kangra Valley on the other. People can also trek here. The best time to visit here is March-May and September-December.  

Library of Tibetan Works and Archives

The Library of Tibetan Works and Archives (LTWA) is one of the premier institutes in the world today for Buddhist and Tibetan Studies.   It attracts several seeking minds from around the world. It was conceived and founded by the Dalai Lama, in 1970, to restore and protect Tibetan culture. the LTWA is a must-visit destination when visiting our resort in Dharamshala which has a lot of spirituality and culture attached to it. Visitors can access over 80,000 manuscripts on the history, culture, and spirituality of Tibetan Buddhism.

Dharamshala Cricket Stadium 

India loves cricket. Fans of the sport can pay a visit to the Dharamshala Cricket Stadium during their stay at the hill station. This stadium is 1,500 m above sea level and has held a lot of cricket matches. It's one of the best places to visit in Dharamshala and is a must-see. This destination is a combination of a view of the Himalayas, lush greens of the valley, and the beloved sport, Cricket. 

Norbulingka Institute

For art enthusiasts, the Norbulingka Institute is one of the best places they can visit in all of Himachal Pradesh. This stunning institute, which is surrounded by ponds, gardens, and bridges, has beauty and art around every corner. It is built in a traditional Tibetan style and is situated in the Kangra Valley. It is a registered trust, which is personally managed by the Dalai Lama. It is mainly known as a Centre of Arts.

Tibet Museum 

The Tibet Museum is the official museum of the Central Tibetan Administration Department of Information and International Relations. Located in the suburban district of McLeodganj in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. It is a very popular destination for tourists and is ranked as one of the best places to visit near Dharamshala. This place is always buzzing with some activity or the other, such as exhibitions, documentary screenings, talk-series, etc.

Gyuto Monastery

A monastery with a breathtaking view of the Himalayas is what makes the Gyuto Monastery such a beautiful place to visit. About 8 km away from Dharamshala and 13 km away from McLeodganj. This monastery is famous for the study of Tantric meditation, Tantric ritual arts, and the study of Buddhist philosophy. It houses the Karmapa, the Head of the Kagyu Tibetan Buddhist. A Karmapa is a title given to a person who carries out Buddha-related activities or is an embodiment of all activities of the Buddha.
Tourists can be a part of prayers on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

War Memorial 

One place that will surely awaken the patriot in you is the war memorial. As you enter the town of Dharamshala, this mighty structure greets you at the entrance. It was built to commemorate the memory of valiant soldiers who fought bravely for the country. This place is just more than a tourist destination. It is a place to pay homage to those soldiers who fought bravely in the 1947-48, 1962, 1965, and 1971 wars. Visitors can read the names of all the brave souls who gave their life for the nation. 


Dal Lake 

Dal Lake is a must-visit for all nature lovers. It is also known to be a sacred spot with a Shiva statue on the banks of the lake. It gets its name from its sister lake in Kashmir. This mid-altitude lake is nestled between the deodar trees and is known to be a scenic beauty. This lake is considered a natural paradise.
