Triund is a beautiful hill in the Dhauladhar Mountains in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district. It is approximately 2842 meters above sea level. Triund offers spectacular views of the Dhauladhar Mountains on one side and the Kangra Valley on the other. The Triund walk is one of the most popular weekend treks from Delhi and Chandigarh. It is possibly the easiest Himalayan trip to complete on your own. The walk up to Triund is brief but steep. The steep ascent is nicely mitigated by strolls through rhododendron and oak forests. Numerous songbirds inhabit the forest along the trail, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise.
Things To Watch Out For
The trek’s view of the Mighty Dhauladhar Range and other peaks
The trek provides some of the finest views with very little elevation gain. You don’t have to trek deep into a valley like Manali or climb for days to see some spectacular views. The Moon Peak, Rifle Horn, Arthur’s Seat, and the magnificent Dhauladhar range are all visible from the start of the walk.<\/p>

Best Season To Do The Triund Trek<\/p>

The months of March to June have the most favorable weather conditions for hiking. Temperatures On Triund<\/p>

Depending on the season of your trek, the temperatures will differ. During the summer, you may anticipate daytime temperatures between 16 and 25 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature can dip to 7 to 10 degrees at night.<\/p>

What to Carry
If you intend to camp independently at Triund, you should bring a sturdy tent with you. Have a sleeping bag that can withstand 0 degrees, a liner for hygiene, and a light foam mat in addition to the tent.<\/p>

Carry a small shovel to dig a cat hole and a cover in case you need to defecate. The Triund trek has no restrooms or toilets. <\/p>
